THE STARS OF LUCAN July 22nd at Finnstown House Hotel

We are putting the final touches to our fund-raising event THE STARS OF LUCAN. This event is very important to us as it is one of the few ways we have of covering festival expenses.

We have lined up many great Lucan acts including Sarah O’Connor who is the patron of our Festival. Sarah will be given her first performance in Lucan following her wonderful achievement in Fame the Musical on RTE1.

We also have the the Lee Byrne Academy of Dance, they were establish in West Dublin in 1995 teaching Irish dancing. The Lee Byrne Academy have been special guest performers at Disneyland Resort Paris for the St. Patrick’s day festival every year since 2006.

Dancity Ireland are a fantastic new group in Lucan with students range in age from 4-25 yrs who teach a wide range of Dancing, Singing & Acting. Dancity Ireland came in 2nd in Minitops variety competition and went on to become the All Ireland Variety  Champions this year.

Local band Morgan La Faye are doing well for themselves on the Dublin music scene,  in venues such as Whelans and Crawdaddy. Currently working on new songs they hope to release a single and an EP by the end of 2010. There are some other acts yet to be confirmed, but it should be a great evenings entertainment.

We would like to thank Finnstown House Hotel who have provided the ballroom for the event for free. Please come along and support our Festival fund-raiser.

Admission is €10 for adults with special concession for families. Hope to see you all on Thursday July 22nd at 8pm.
