Call for artists – exhibition at Lucan Festival, 20-26 September.

The call is open to all artists working or living in South Dublin/ Kildare/ Fingal area . All forms of 2-D art including but not exclusive to painting, drawing, photography, are eligible. We regret that technically we cannot accommodate video-art.

Lucan Festival arts week will take place between September 20-26, 2010, providing an opportunity for families attending the festival to appreciate local artists and their work. On Monday September 20 th at 7pm there will be an official launch attended by local press and dignitaries. The arts week also includes a poetry evening on Wednesday, 15 September.

  • Artworks should measure no more that 30ins x 36ins
  • Artists can submit no more than 6 works, all fully framed and ready to hang.
  • We would ask all artists to submit by email images in jpeg format of works being submitting to assist the curator in the selection process before Thursday 9th of September, 2010.
  • Artworks must be delivered to exhibition centre on Saturday 11th of September between 2pm and 5.30pm
  • Labels should be applied to the back of every image stating: name of artist, name of work size in cm, medium and price.
  • Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by email no later than Wednesday September 15th, 2010.
  • All unsuccessful works can be collected on Saturday 18th between 12 – 4pm.
  • Chosen artists can vernissage their works on Sunday 19th of September prior to opening.
  • Official launch will be at 7pm on Monday 20th September.
